It is not legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using this site or contacting us. Firearm laws and licensing requirements change often and differ by state. You are responsible for confirming current requirements with the Maryland State Police, the licensing authority in any other state, and, if needed, a licensed attorney.

2. No guarantees

Completing a course with Phalanx Defense does not guarantee that a license, permit or qualification will be issued to you, or that any state or agency will accept our training. Approval decisions are made solely by the issuing authority. References to states that accept USCCA-taught training, or to reciprocity between states, are provided for convenience and may be incomplete or out of date. Always verify with the state in question.

3. Classes, scheduling and registration

Course descriptions, hours, locations and availability may change without notice. Registration, payment and any cancellation or refund terms for classes booked through the USCCA registration page are handled by that platform and are subject to its terms. Any other booking arrangements are made directly with us. Enrollment may require participants to meet legal eligibility requirements, to follow all safety rules, and to sign class-specific paperwork. We may remove a person from a class for unsafe conduct or if they are legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

4. Safety and personal responsibility

Firearms are dangerous. Nothing on this website is a substitute for hands-on instruction from a qualified instructor, and you are solely responsible for handling firearms safely and lawfully. Do not rely on this website as your only source of safety or legal information.

5. Third-party links

This site links to websites we do not own or control, such as the USCCA and the Maryland State Police. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or policies, and a link does not mean we endorse everything on that site. Headlines shown in the "Latest firearms news" section are collected automatically from third-party publications. We do not write, review or control them, and their appearance on this site is not an endorsement.

6. Intellectual property

The Phalanx Defense name, logo, text and images on this site belong to Phalanx Defense LLC or their respective owners and may not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial purposes without our written permission. Third-party names and marks, including USCCA, belong to their owners.
